Sarah has moved to The Manor House in Brassington, a picturesque village in the Peak District in Derbyshire… Between Bakewell and Ashbourne (Ashbourne has just been voted 10 out of 30 best places for a weekend retreat), a stones throw from Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. and Ashbourne

The Manor House is a Grade II period Georgian Country Manor House with many original features.

The first bedroom is a very large room with beams, comfy chairs and sofa with a large French bed. The ensuite is just as big with a vintage roll top bath (and shower), why not treat yourself to a candlelit bath.

The second bedroom has a French feel with a Vintage French bed and linens and an ensuite with wooden panelling (bath and shower).

There is now a third double bedroom with ensuite - please see the Bed and Breakfast section for more details.

When you arrive you can enjoy tea and cake.

In the evenings you can stroll a few hundred yards to The Old Gate Inn, a lovely old traditional pub (over 400 years old) with a fantastic menu.

There is also the Miners Arms pub within walking distance which serves good home cooked food.

In the morning enjoy a full English cooked breakfast in the lovely dining room with a large stone fireplace surrounded by antique portraits.
